Lang Walker AO Founder and Executive Chairman

Lang has lived and breathed the property development industry for over 50 years. During this time he has delivered over 1,000 projects which include national landmark destinations, and come out on top of two major recessions. His passion, enthusiasm and natural intuition for property development are undeniable.

Fully immersed in all projects, he takes pride in each and every development we embark on, using his acute eye for detail to create inspiring master plans; overseen from concept to completion. Lang has proven his visionary approach for troublesome projects time-and-time again. Taking on and transforming the most challenging of sites.

Not one to rest on his laurels, he constantly pushes the boundaries. In the past 10 years alone he has developed over 240 projects that have embraced cutting-edge design and industry leading environmentally sustainable standards.

Lang personally supports a range of charities via the Walker Family Foundation, including the Children’s hospital at Westmead and the Property Industry Foundation. In 2015 he was awarded an Order of Australia Officer (AO) for his varied and continual philanthropic efforts.

Mark Wilkinson Director – Corporate Finance, Tax & Compliance

Mark is a chartered accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Hons).

Mark worked for ten years for Touche Ross & Co in South Africa, USA and Australia before embarking on a career in commerce working for a number of Australian listed companies before joining the Walker group of Companies.

Mark has worked for the Walker group of Companies for 25 years and has extensive experience in finance, taxation and compliance. He is responsible for the corporate finance function, transaction structuring and taxation matters for the Group.

Bruce Hancox Director – Investment and Wealth Management

Bruce holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Canterbury University. He has been involved with the Walker group of Companies for 11 years since 2008 and is responsible for managing the Group’s non-property related investments and providing strategic wealth and business advice to Lang Walker and the Board. Bruce has had a long and distinguished career in business in New Zealand and Australia including 19 years with Brierley Investments Limited as Group Chief Executive Officer and as Chairman of the Board.

He has over 35 years corporate experience having served on the boards of numerous Australian and New Zealand public companies including Retail Food Group, Medical Australia Limited, Neuren Pharmaceuticals Limited, BioTech Capital Limited and QRxPharma Limited.

David Gallant Chief Executive Officer

David holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Building) (Hons). Prior to joining Walker, David worked for 8 years in both Australia & Asia on numerous large scale complex projects including office developments, hospitals and shopping centres for major Australian & German firms. Uniquely, David has extensive property experience in both the development and construction fields and understands the critical importance of teamwork, leadership, stakeholder engagement and client relationships in achieving project objectives for all parties.

Having worked closely with Lang Walker for over 20 years, David has been intimately involved in the creation and delivery of some of the Walker Group’s largest and most iconic developments including at the time Sydney’s largest mixed use development, Rhodes Waterside, the twin tower Regency Chatswood residential and retail development, Point Cook and Broadway Shopping Centres, and in recent years Collins Square, Parramatta Square and the Adelaide Festival Centre redevelopment.

With a very capable key management team alongside him, David manages the group’s overall property & development business and the corporate functions of the group and worked with Lang Walker at the former publicly listed company.

Margaret Dransfield Group Executive, Finance & Chief Financial Officer

Margaret brings strong financial experience to the Walker team with over 13 years in the property sector.

Margaret manages Walker Group’s finance, accounting and reporting functions, working closely with all Australian and international divisions to ensure accounting processes and financial reporting are accurate and timely.

Margaret has extensive experience in the office, industrial and retail commercial property sectors and across the full spectrum of activity from development through to property and funds management.

Margaret is a chartered accountant and US CPA with a Masters in Economics, Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science. Margaret worked for Deloitte for ten years in Australia, Canada and the USA. Prior to joining Walker Group in 2019, Margaret had ten years at Mirvac Group and Charter Hall.

Adam Patterson Group Executive, Treasury & Development Finance

A chartered accountant with a Bachelor of Business, Adam brings the disciplines of finance and accounting to our development teams and manages the overall finance and revenue for the group. Adam is responsible for securing funding for all Walker Group projects. Adam is also responsible for managing the cash flow for the Group, project reporting, and the management of obligations under project development agreements with Government joint venture partners.

At Walker Group for over 11 years, Adam has secured financing arrangements for the Group’s largest projects to date, including the $2.5 billion Collins Square development in Melbourne.

Having worked for International blue-chip companies throughout his career, Adam has a wealth of financial experience. Prior to Walker, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for seven years in both Sydney and the UK, and then as CFO at Hudson Timber & Hardware for six years. Adam supports Peter Saba and David Gallant with the financial reporting of all of the groups development projects.

Allison Anthony Group Executive, Legal & Group General Counsel

For over 17 years, Allison has practiced as a real estate lawyer specialising in property development and major projects transactions. In her General Counsel role at Walker Group, Allison brings a passion for facilitating effective and efficient legal outcomes to the table – especially where complex or unique transactions are involved.

Allison’s legal experience includes working as a Solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons and as a Senior Associate at Clayton Utz for nine years, providing legal advice on some of Australia’s largest real estate transactions including negotiation and documentation of the $6 billion Barangaroo South project.

Working as a member in Walker’s highly capable and committed in-house legal team, Allison provides a full suite of legal services across the business including advising on commercial, industrial, retail, master planned communities and government projects.

Nathan Campbell Group Executive, Development & Chief Operating Officer

With over 27 years in the industry, Nathan's knowledge and in-depth level of experience in large scale project delivery is extensive. In the past ten years alone, he has been responsible for not only some of the most prestigious residential developments in Australia, but more recently leading the delivery of the $2 billion Parramatta Square development, one of the largest urban renewal projects in the country with new A-Grade office space and civic facilities.

Prior to Walker, Nathan managed Lendlease's Australian residential pipeline consisting of 4,339 apartments, with a combined construction value of $2 billion over nine separate projects.

Nathan also oversaw the prestigious 77 story 'Soul' residential and retail development on the Gold Coast on behalf of a syndicate of Institutional Financiers and Price Waterhouse Coopers, and from 2006-2010 Nathan lead the projects development delivery team on the redevelopment of Top Ryde City (at one time Australia's largest mixed use retail, residential and commercial development).

Before embarking on a career in Property Development, Nathan spent 10 years in Construction, predominantly at Multiplex Constructions and Walker Corporation. It was this time in his career that provided him with extensive in-depth knowledge and hands on experience in the construction area.

In 2005, Nathan was appointed to the Board of Multiplex Developments Australia where he was responsible for the overall management and operation of the Multi-residential and Master Planned Communities / Land Sub-Division sectors in New South Wales.

Emily Carroll Group Executive, Investment Assets

Emily oversees the success of our rapidly expanding $8 billion portfolio of Investment Assets including Collins Square, Parramatta Square & Adelaide Festival Tower. Emily brings more than 17 years' experience, specialising in commercial property and leads a team of experts in Walker's Investment Management division.

Her core responsibilities include the meticulous oversight and strategic direction of all Walker assets, encompassing the attainment of financial returns, the provision of exemplary leadership, and the formulation of astute business plans aimed at optimising the investment performance of the portfolio.

Emily's team specialise in Leasing, Investment Management, Property Management & Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Hospitality and is entrusted with the day-to-day management of our assets. Her formal qualifications include Bachelor of Business -- Property (Valuations), Certificate IV in Building & Construction and a Diploma in Commercial Property Asset Management.

Craig Clucas Group Executive, Tax & Corporate Structure

Craig brings strong tax and structuring experience to the Walker team with over 20 years in the property sector. He has extensive experience in project managing transactions to achieve a successful outcome by bringing together tax, legal and financial disciplines across the business.

Craig is a qualified Legal Practitioner with a Bachelor of Commerce and Law (Honours). Prior to joining the Walker Group, Craig worked for almost ten years at Lendlease and before that he was a Director in KPMG's Real Estate Tax Group. He has also practiced as a Senior Solicitor.

Jessica Jordan Group Executive, Development

As Head of Commercial Development, Jessica has worked alongside Lang Walker and David Gallant over the past 13 years developing industrial, mixed-use and commercial projects. She managed the development of the $3.5 billion Parramatta Square project from inception through to completion and has been involved in some of the largest leasing Government and Blue Chip leasing transactions at Walker.

Leading the development team at Walker, Jessica oversees development managers tasked with some of the organisation's most significant placemaking initiatives, including Adelaide Festival Square, Goods Shed precinct in Collins Square, Parramatta Square and emerging urban transformation opportunities.

Holding a Bachelor of Property Economics, Jessica is passionate about placemaking and design, working closely with Lang Walker as he sets his visions for the next urban transformation. Jessica is heavily involved throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure that the Walker vision to reality is realised.

Peter Saba Group Executive, Development

Peter has been with the Walker Group for over 22 years and holds a degree in Bachelor of Building (Construction Economics) (Hons). Peter brings the unique skills of financial discipline and development together across the groups projects and has closely managed the execution of some of the groups largest and most successful developments including Broadway Shopping Centre, Regency Chatswood, Centenary Quays, Bluestone Mount Barker and Banksia Grove.

Peter was the Development Director and General Manager of the $1 billion Hope Island Resort development and has for many years headed up the corporate functions of the QLD office. Peter works closely with David Gallant in managing the delivery of developments in the industrial, residential and commercial business units. Highly experienced and knowledgeable in his field, Peter also plays a pivotal role within our national new business team and is responsible for securing new tenants, land sales and future acquisitions.

Ian Grist General Counsel & Company Secretary

Ian was admitted as a Solicitor in 1989 and has been practicing law for over 33 years specialising in property development. Ian has worked for the Walker group of companies since 1992 as General Counsel and Company Secretary across various projects including Balmain Cove, Woolloomooloo Wharf, Broadway Shopping Centre, King Street Wharf, Rhodes residential, retail and commercial, Citiswich Industrial Park, Vicinity Industrial Park, Monaro Industrial Park, Collins Square, Parramatta Square, and Festival Plaza.

Sylvia Hrovatin National Manager Approvals

Sylvia is a town planner with over 40 years of experience securing approvals to facilitate the delivery and coordination of projects spanning all asset classes, sizes, shapes and character.

A key part of the business, she leads a high-performance team of diverse and talented individuals. She is a corporate member and registered planner in the Planning Institute of Australia. Sylvia’s UDIA Women in Development Leadership Award and elevation to Fellow by the Planning Institute of Australia are recognition of her championing and advocacy, in-depth knowledge of property, mentoring of development graduates and students, and bridge-building between government and private sectors.

Her unique knowledge and skills obtained whilst employed with local government, state government and for leading developers, have been vital to the successful planning of Walker projects.

Chad Walker Director of New Business

In the role of Director New Business for two years, Chad has been working in the family business for over 20 years and has experience across all facets of the property development industry.

Chad heads up Walker’s new business pipeline and has been actively involved in the companies $25billion pipeline of work. He is responsible for sourcing, structuring and negotiating acquisitions, third party capital and joint venture partnerships across mixed use, commercial, industrial, residential, master planned communities and retail developments.

Prior to this role, Chad held the position of Director Masterplanned Communities and was involved in the development of some of the largest and most iconic communities, retail and residential projects to date, including Broadway Shopping Centre, Balmain Cove, Rhodes Shopping Centre and Appin Valley.

George Quinn CEO Walker Malaysia

George holds a Master of Property and Bachelor degrees in Applied Science (Surveying) and Information Technology. With an in-depth knowledge of large scale mixed use developments, George joined the Walker Group in 2001.

He plays a vital role in the development process and long-term management strategy for Walker Group’s large residential, industrial, commercial, and resort developments.

He is involved in supervising acquisitions and joint ventures, masterplanning, feasibility analysis, planning and authority approvals, building and infrastructure construction and ongoing management.

George is responsible for the delivery and execution of our offshore projects including Senibong Cove, Resort Poresia and Mount Austin in Malaysia, along with Citiswich in Brisbane and Vicinity in SA along with other major projects in Queensland.

Quay Chew Keong (C.K.) Director of Asian Operations

CK holds a Bachelor of Science (Building) and is a qualified quantity surveyor. CK is responsible for managing the Walker Group’s property development activities in Malaysia. Joining the Walker Group in Malaysia in 2008, CK plays a pivotal role in the development of the masterplanned communities at Senibong Cove, Resort Poresia and Mount Austin in Johor Bahru. The development of Senibong Cove, which has been underway for the last ten years, is the Walker Group’s first waterfront master planned development in Asia.

A veteran in the regional property scene, CK has over 27 years of experience in project management and property development in both Malaysia and Australia.

Prior to joining the Walker Group, he occupied senior positions with Kuok Group of Companies for 18 years, culminating in holding the position of Executive Director for their Johor Property Division. Whilst in the employ of the Kuok Group, CK’s responsibilities included managing their Garden City and Horizon development projects in Sydney, and the Docklands residential project in Melbourne.

Simon Farrow Chief Information Officer

Simon has worked in the property industry as an IT leader for over 26 years. He began his career as a commercial pilot working overseas before returning to Australia and starting an aviation charter business whilst studying Information Technology.

By the mid-nineties, Simon transitioned to the property industry as an IT professional. He has worked for a number of leading property development companies, including Jefferson Properties and Sunbelt Developments, before joining Walker in 2000 as Head of IT.

Simon is an IT strategist and a collaborative leader who has built a highly capable technology team that is ISO-certified, customer-centric and delivers business efficiencies and digital solutions across the diverse Walker group of companies.
