Covering a three-hectare city block, this city style precinct will transform the heart of Parramatta CBD into a vibrant, cosmopolitan, mixed-use commercial precinct, attracting people to the area to work, study, shop and relax. Chosen for our capabilities to construct large-scale place making development, these iconic buildings will incorporate cutting-edge environmentally sustainable design within the four Towers and 6,000 square metre public domain.
National Australia Bank’s future western Sydney address, Tower 3, features the largest floorplates on the Square, exceeding 3,000 square metres, spread across 16-storeys and 43,000 square metres of office space. Committed to Property NSW, Tower 4 delivers a combined area of 70,000 square metres of office space. Positioned over 3,000 square metres of high quality retail that fronts the public domain, Tower 4 provides a crucial link to the Parramatta railway station and the greater CBD.
The centrepiece of Parramatta Square, Towers 6 and 8 combine to become what is set to be the largest office tower in Australia. The 55-storey Tower 8 brings the total Walker development sites to 230,000 square metres of Premium Grade commercial floor space, housing up to 23,000 employees on completion.
The wider Parramatta Square precinct features the 26,000 square metre University of Western Sydney Campus (known as W.S.U) educating more than 10,000 university students annually, along with the existing 17 storey 2 Parramatta Square. Critical to the activation of the project is the thriving public domain, connecting the wider square and located at the very heart of Parramatta’s CBD. This major project will see Parramatta City rival Sydney’s CBD, with a total of $11 billion to be invested city wide in buildings and infrastructure.
The entire precinct will be built to a minimum 5 Green Star Rating and 5 Star NABERS Energy Rating in accordance with the standards for environmentally sustainable development, set by the Green Building Council of Australia. Environmentally sensitive development practices will also be employed to meet the stringent WELL Building Standard criteria. These standards will ensure best practice benchmarks for sustainability and liveability of the precinct.
Located in the western region of Sydney on the Cumberland Plain, the City of Parramatta is a local government area situated 25km west of Sydney CBD. Occupying an area of 61km2, Parramatta city houses the second largest employment destination after Sydney CBD. The transformation of the city will see it rival that of Sydney CBD in terms of office space and amenity by 2020.
