Spread over three hectares, this city style precinct will transform the heart of Parramatta CBD into a vibrant, cosmopolitan, commercial and residential precinct, attracting people to the area to live, work, study and play. Chosen for our capabilities to construct large-scale iconic buildings that incorporate cutting-edge environmentally sustainable design, we will deliver stages four, six and eight.
Stages 4 and 6 include dual mixed-use commercial towers, offering 110,000sqm A-Grade premium office space to meet the needs of a range of tenants. The ground floor podium will feature more than 3,000 square metres of retail space, over two levels, with the lower ground level providing a crucial underground link to the Parramatta railway station. Stage 8, known as the Aspire Tower, is the tallest proposed residential tower in the southern hemisphere, with up to 700 apartments, a hotel and ground level retail. The tower will be an iconic centrepiece to the Parramatta Square development with construction expected to commence in 2016.
The wider precinct will feature the 26,000 square metre University of Western Sydney Campus (known as W.S.U) housing more than 10,000 university students, as well as community facilities, a civic building, community centre, library and a 250 metre long thriving public domain in the heart of the city – critical to the activation of the project. This major project will see Parramatta City rival Sydney’s CBD, with a total of $8 billion to be invested city wide in buildings and infrastructure over the next four years.
Environmentally sensitive development practices will also be employed to meet the stringent WELL Building Standard criteria. These standards will ensure best practice benchmarks for sustainability and liveability of the precinct.
Located in the western region of Sydney on the Cumberland Plain, the City of Parramatta is a local government area situated 25km west of Sydney CBD. Occupying an area of 61km2, Parramatta city houses the second largest employment destination after Sydney CBD. The transformation of the city over the next four years will see it rival that of Sydney CBD in terms of office space and amenity.
