To meet ongoing business growth requirements, SWADS' required a new warehousing and distribution centre in a well-connected location. The project requirements included identifying a location, managing planning approvals, and designing and building a dedicated facility.
We identified the preferred location at Greystanes, and managed the planning and statutory approval process in co-ordination with the land owner. We also secured all development and construction approvals for the delivery of the proposed facility. Finally, we prepared the lease proposal and negotiated the offer, Agreement for Lease and financial feasibilities in order to deliver a 15 year tenancy agreement.
With the planning approval and 15 year lease secured, we carried out the design and construction of a purpose built 35,200sqm warehouse, with 900sqm of adjoining office and administration space, and design and delivery of key infrastructure to service the main SWADS building plus all adjoining buildings.
SWADS' new facility is located in the Sydney suburb of Greystanes, located 29km west of the Sydney CBD in the local government area of the City of Holroyd. Greystanes is easily accessed via a number of major roads including the Cumberland Highway, the Great Western Highway and the M4 Western Motorway, making it an ideal location for the SWADS warehouse.
