Maroochydore City Centre welcomes a new era as construction commences on SOL
Construction is officially underway on SOL by Walker, the landmark residential apartment collection in the heart of Maroochydore City Centre, marking the next major milestone for the Sunshine Coast’s new economic and cultural capital.
Delivered by Walker Corporation, SOL will bring sophisticated, sustainable and connected urban living to the Sunshine Coast, supporting hundreds of jobs throughout construction and beyond.
The first 19-storey tower will feature 112 premium residences with spectacular views across the coast and hinterland, luxurious resort-style amenities, and direct access to the thriving retail, dining, and green spaces of the Maroochydore City Centre.
Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning Jarrod Bleijie said the Crisafulli Government was committed to boosting the supply of housing to create more homes for Queenslanders sooner.

Sunshine Coast Council Mayor Rosanna Natoli said SOL by Walker reflected the region’s bold approach to creating a smart, liveable and inclusive environment for future generations.
“This is a proud moment for our community and a major milestone in shaping Maroochydore as Australia’s most progressive regional location,” Mayor Natoli said.
“The beginning of construction of SOL by Walker sends a strong signal that the Sunshine Coast is delivering high-quality homes, vibrant public spaces, and jobs for locals.”
